How to make Hydrangea paper flower from printer paper, FREE template

This Hydrangea paper flower was made just from printer paper, and it’s easy to make, with your patience.

But believe me, you will find your peace and relax in making paper flowers.

Video tutorial to make Hydrangea paper flower:

I just found that we could make paper flowers from printer papers.

Gifts for this Christmas: 2x faster wireless charger (No AC adapter)

Crepe paper is easier to make flowers, but its color is quickly fade away in just 2 or 3  months.

Well, how about printer paper and pastel chalk?

Here is the photo I reshoot after making this paper Hydrangea flower almost 7 months.

Step by step instruction to make Hydrangea paper flowers:

Step 1:

Grab printer paper, pastel chalk (or any kind of color you want), scissors, wire, tape.

Step 2:

Download my template. If you do not have a printer, you could place a paper on the template screen and use a pencil to trace along the line.

Step 3:

Fold the paper and cut the petals as video instruction.

Step 4:

Color the petals with a dried cotton fabric and pastel chalk to help the color blending well. Normally you will need 3 to 4 colors. See, Mother Nature is awesome.

Step 5:

Cut the wire gauge#24 into 6″ (15cm) section. If this section is shorter, it’s harder to arrange all the small flowers together naturally.

Step 6:

Wrap a tiny tissue strip to the floral wire gauge #24 to make the stamen and color it.

Step 7:

Use a needle to create a small hold in the center of petal and insert the floral wire there. Each little flower will have 2 pairs of the petal. Glue it.

Step 8:

This flower is arranged from around 30 flower pieces. Please consider arranging the smaller lime green or white ones in the center, and the bigger blue ones around.  The flower would be more beautiful if it includes 50 or 60 flower pieces.

Sincerely appreciate tutorial using printer paper and not higher grade crepe! Local craft stores do not carry higher grade crepe. And, using chalk sticks rather than the wetting the paper; i.e., food coloring, acrylics.

Have the chalk..have the paper, wire and tissue. Ready to go!

    Thank You?

WWWOooohhh, it’s great to hear so, Catherine. Yes, crepe paper is quite luxury to me, and I’m glad that you like my alternatives. 🙂
